In the quaint town of Evergreen Hills, Christmas has always been a time of joy and celebration, but for young Max, this year is different.
Frustrated and disheartened by the constant quarrels and bickering among the members of his dysfunctional family, Max loses all interest in celebrating the holiday he once loved. As the days draw nearer to Christmas Eve, Max’s spirit dampens, and a sense of disillusionment hangs heavy in the air.
Unbeknownst to Max, his growing despair has awakened an ancient and malevolent force – Krampus, a demon who emerges when the spirit of Christmas is tainted by negativity and despair. Krampus, a terrifying figure from European folklore, punishes those who have lost sight of the true meaning of Christmas and replaces the season’s joy with fear and anguish.
As the clock strikes midnight on Christmas Eve, a chilling wind howls through the town, carrying with it a sinister presence. Max’s home becomes enveloped in darkness as Krampus descends upon Evergreen Hills, his cloven hooves leaving frost wherever he steps. With his horned, monstrous form and a sack slung over his shoulder, Krampus embodies the antithesis of the jolly Santa Claus.
Inside the house, Max’s family members continue their heated arguments, oblivious to the malevolent presence that has befallen them. Suddenly, the power goes out, and eerie noises fill the air, causing them to pause momentarily. As they search for the source of the disturbance, they soon come face-to-face with Krampus himself, standing ominously in the shadows.
